This last weekend we took a new client’s website live – which is always an exciting event for the client and for any web design company. You work with the client from the point of an initial sales inquiry to analysis to design and development and then deployment. And this is why your website is more than just a website.
Recently I was requested to pay a sales call on a prospective client (by another associate) and included in my sales call was a request to sell the prospect on why they actually need a website. That’s right, there are still companies and organizations that don’t have websites and don’t know why they would need them.
Have you visited your website lately? Recently I selected business prospects from a mailing list of local companies. I specifically looked for small businesses that either did not have a website or had a website that needed improvement. I must admit, I was very surprised at the results of my research. For each business I selected, I Googled them to find their domain name (and also to get an idea of how high their search engine ranking was). I’d then go to the site itself for a few minutes and look around.
