Peter Beare launched Bear Web Design in Nashville, Tennessee, in May 2000 to help businesses grow through a more innovative digital presence and strategy.

He regularly attends these national and international conferences to sharpen his skills. Over the years, he has participated in major conferences such as the Joomla World Conference in Vancouver, Canada (2016), Harvard University in Boston (2013), and Joomla Day USA in Washington, D.C. (2009). In 2019, Peter also had the honor of presenting to the Joomla Users Group in Melbourne, Australia.
His passion for web development extends deeply into the WordPress community. In December 2017, Peter attended his first WordCamp in Nashville. Since then, his team has participated in WordCamp US San Diego (2022) and WordCamp US Washington, DC (2023). In 2024, Peter traveled to Torino, Italy, for WordCamp Europe, where Bear Web Design was proudly recognized as an official Automattic (WordPress) Agency. Looking ahead, Peter is scheduled to attend WordCamp Europe 2025 in Basel, Switzerland, continuing his commitment to global innovation.
Australian Roots and Greater Nashville Community Involvement
Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Middle Tennessee State University, where he attended on a tennis scholarship.
While growing up in Australia, he was a state and nationally ranked junior tennis player. Additionally, he is a proud 30-plus-year member of the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC), which is Australia’s Largest Sporting Club. Peter also co-founded the Nashville Kangaroos and the Australian Festival in 1997 and promoted Australian football and Aussie culture for over 10 years throughout Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
