In 1986 he worked as systems manager for Taylor Impressions in Nashville, Tennessee, before leaving for Australia to work for Kodak Australasia as a programmer analyst supporting the photo finishing area. He left Kodak Australasia to operate the Westgate Sports & Leisure Center as General Manager from 1990 until 1992 when he returned to the United States. Westgate was one of the largest sport centers under one roof in Australia at the time, comprising of tennis courts, squash courts, gymnasium, swimming pool, aerobics room, indoor cricket and soccer fields as well as the center's restaurant & bar facilities. Between 1992 and 1995 he worked as a Computer Consultant specializing in DOS-based programming and general personal computer consulting services in the Nashville area. In 1995 he was hired by PayMaxx, a leading payroll processor located in Franklin, Tennessee, as a computer programmer to develop their first windows based payroll system PayLoad (a product currently used throughout the United States). During his 5 year career he rose from programmer to systems analyst, to product manager and ultimately professional services manager overseeing 4 departments and 16 employees. Peter founded Bear Web Design in Nashville, Tennessee in 2000 and has been actively involved in web design & development, web content management & education, web hosting & support and more recently internet marketing. His experience gained by working with clients from the sales cycle to launching a new website to a overseeing a client’ s second generation redevelopment has given him a unique understanding and prospective of the internet. This allows him to serve our client base with expert leadership & service with a completely hands on approach. Peter enjoys watching sports, running and gardening and has recently retired from very active involvement in promoting Australia in the Nashville and Middle Tennessee area which he did over the last 10 years. Peter was the founding President of the Nashville Kangaroos, founding President of the Mid American Australian Football League, Founding and 10 Year Director of the Australian Festival, and was instrumental in the founding of the Vanderbilt Australian Rules Football Club. Peter is also a proud 35 year member of the Melbourne Cricket Club , which is Australia's largest sporting club. |

Peter Beare was born in 1963 in Melbourne, Australia. He attended Parade College and then Greenwood High School while participating around Australia and New Zealand as a state ranked junior tennis player. He represented Australia twice as a Junior Davis Cupper in 1975 (Australia VS Indonesia - Hobart) and in the Australian High School Tennis Team's tour of the United States in 1980. He received a tennis scholarship to Middle Tennessee State University in 1981 where he obtained his degree in computer science while representing the men's tennis team from 1981-1985.
